Best Way to Book has no accounts, no analytics and no advertising, and it sets no cookies. It does not ask who you are and keeps no record of what you look at.

What stays on your device

The calculators run in your browser; the figures you type are not sent anywhere. The rankings page remembers one thing, the language you chose, in your browser’s own storage so that it opens in that language next time. Clearing your browser’s site data removes it.

What reaches our server

A price lookup sends the hotel and the dates. A ranking sends the filters you chose: hotel group, month or date, brand, country, search text. We keep the answers, which are prices for a hotel on a date, so the next person asking gets them faster, and a count of how many lookups were made that day. Neither says who asked.

The site is delivered by Cloudflare. Like any web host, it handles your IP address and the address of the page you asked for in order to send you the page and to keep the site safe, under its own privacy policy. We do not add them to any record of ours.

Other sites your browser contacts

City photographs on the rankings page load from Wikimedia’s servers, which see your request as they would for any picture on Wikipedia.

When you pick nights on a hotel’s calendar, your browser may ask the hotel group’s own site for that one price, as it would if you searched there yourself. The hotel group sees that request. Your browser then passes the answer to our server to be checked; nothing about you goes with it.

Prices from Google Hotels on the hotel pages are fetched by our server through a licensed data provider. Your browser does not contact it.

Links to hotel groups and sellers

A link to a hotel group or another seller takes you to their site, where their privacy policy applies. Today these are plain links and we are not paid when you follow one. If that changes, this page and the About page will say so first.
